The importance of sleep is extremely vital yet is often overlooked as something that is non-essential.

We often believe that we can regularly deprive ourselves from sleep without any repercussions. 

Yet, sleeping well is just as important as breathing well or eating well.

We often hear ‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead‘ or if ‘you’re sleeping then you’re not working hard enough‘. 

I actually believe its the complete opposite.

If you are planning and utilizing your time effectively, there is no reason to miss out on a good night’s rest.

If you are not resting properly you are never giving yourself a chance to function at your optimal ability. 

Sleeping allows are bodies to recover and regenerate from the day and ensure that ALL of our vital processes stay in working order. 

This includes both mental and physical.

Resting enough daily has been linked to more productivity, lower weight gain, more social and emotional intelligence, better athletic performance, stronger immune system, the list goes on and on..

When we are having full and productive days then we will be tired at night and will have restful sleep. 

When we are procrastinating during the day, we have to play catch up at night and miss out on a good nights rest.

So working hard during the day and resting soundly at night will dictate your performance tomorrow.
