Self-love
Self love can be a tricky thing.
I mean of course we love ourselves to a certain degree but do we love ourselves enough?
Do we love ourselves as much as we love others?
We claim to love ourselves but then we prioritize other people or things ahead of ourselves.
Do we love ourselves more than we love certain indulgences or material possessions?
If so, why do we make feeding our cravings and desires more important than improving our health or feeding our soul?
There has become a stigma for those who put themselves first as selfish, but how can we love others if we do not love ourselves first?
Self love is about self care.
Taking the time to groomI use the word groom here as a homonym and reference two definitions of the same word. I am referring to the definition related to self-care, meaning to make neat or attractive. I am also referring to the definition meaning to train or prepare for an objective. More ourselves so we can find out who we are and where we want to go.
Cultivating and improving ourselves and so we can grow to our maximum ability.
I ask if we love ourselves because we have so many habits that mistreat the body, and mind, and soul.
If we really loved ourselves, we would be more conscious of what we consume (food and information), how we spend our time, and who we spend time with.
We should constantly remind ourselves of our greatness, self love mantras are just the tools we can use as a reminder.

We’re in charge of our destiny
Never forget that we are the pilot to our own ship and we choose the direction that we head in life.
We also choose how we care for the ship, it’s performance, and how long it will last.
We get to custom design the ship and create it exactly as we want it for our maximum comfort and longevity.
And we get to build the ship strong enough to help others along when they are struggling.
Replace the word ship with plane, car, yacht or any metaphor you choose.
The important thing to remember is that YOU are irreplaceable.
And that YOU are in charge of your own vessel and where it takes you.
Full steam ahead captain.
