“It’s okay to outgrow people” – Personal growth

Outgrowing people is a natural part of personal growth and living a full, positive and successful life.

Isn’t it interesting how the dosage of something can make us or break us?

Too little of a dose can be ineffective and too much can be hazardous.

This is how I view the negativity found in our environments.

For example – exposing ourselves to dirt and bacteria regularly will make our immune system stronger.

Yet, too much exposure to bacteria and we can become ill.

Same goes for exercise.

We have to break and tear muscle fibers for them to rebuild stronger.

But when we overdo exercise, we risk serious injury.

I believe the same to be true for our for our mindset.

Balance is everything

balance is everything

Exposing ourselves to negative people and negative environments helps us develop thick skin and form unique strategies to persevere and overcome.

But, staying in those environments too long can wear us down and break our spirit.

As we grow in life and our business/career, its important that we place ourselves around like-minded people with similar goals.

Doing this allows us to learn from others and be continually encouraged.

We share the common goal of striving to live a better life and motivating each other.

We can guarantee that we will continue to flourish by placing ourselves around other successful people.

Only through this method can we see a living example of what’s possible for us.

We don’t want to be the smartest person in the room – although it might feed our ego, it will never fuel our growth.

Not everyone is forever

We should understand that some people are meant to be in our lives for a limited amount of time.

Some people are only passing through.

Perhaps they’ll only stick around for a chapter or two in the story of our lives.

If certain people are unable to grow with you, it’s okay to outgrow them.
